The Healthcare Worker Mesothelioma Asbestos Guidance (MAGS) study is looking for participants. If you have been diagnosed with mesothelioma and you are, or have ever been, a healthcare worker your input could help with this research project. Researchers would like to interview both clinical staff, such as doctors and nurses, and non-clinical staff, such as medical secretaries, cleaners, porters and maintenance staff.
The study aims to explore the experiences of healthcare workers with mesothelioma and develop recommendations for increasing awareness of the risk to healthcare workers.
Mesothelioma UK is funding this study, alongside donations from the family and friends of the late Dr Mags Portman. It is being conducted by the Mesothelioma Patient Experience Research Group at the University of Sheffield.
