Mesothelioma UK has appointed Justine Bates as its Individual Giving and Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover).
Justine will join the charity’s operations team at its head office in Leicestershire and will take over responsibilities such as building relationships with individual donors and volunteers, supporting the wider fundraising team and driving marketing campaigns.
Justine brings a wealth of fundraising and marketing experience to her new role. Having previously worked as the Charity Fundraising Executive for local charity, Cash for Kids, where she was responsible for spearheading fundraising campaigns and developing relationships with supporters, volunteers, and trusts and foundations.
She then moved onto working as a Development Officer at Loughborough University, working within the Philanthropy, Alumni and Supporter Engagement team. She raised money for the university and engaged with donors to generate philanthropic income for the university’s strategy.
Speaking of her new role, Justine said: “I’m thrilled to contribute to Mesothelioma UK’s crucial fundraising efforts and projects. I’m thoroughly enjoying the role and have hit the ground running thanks to the support of the team.”
