Mesothelioma UK acknowledges that people diagnosed with mesothelioma do not always have access to specialist care at their local hospitals. Therefore, we offer grants to support travel expenses for those attending specialist centres to access a clinical trial.
This helps to ensure that everyone has equal access to specialists, treatment, trials and care, regardless of where they live.
Since 1 April 2018, we have supported 49 patients with travel expenses for appointments, totalling £34,831.66. If you are having to travel to clinical trials, you may be eligible for a grant.
