RGA UK Services Extends Support for Mesothelioma UK with £25,000 Pledge and 2026 Charity Partner Commitment

Mesothelioma UK, the national asbestos-related cancer charity, has been selected by RGA UK Services Limited as the company’s Charity Partner of the Year for 2026. The partnership will be launched with a generous £25,000 donation to support patients and families affected by mesothelioma.

RGA UK Services is a subsidiary of Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated (RGA), a global industry leader specialising in life and health reinsurance and financial solutions. This partnership with Mesothelioma UK will see employees across the company take part in a programme of fundraising activities, challenges and awareness events throughout the year, helping to fund vital services for people impacted by this devastating asbestos-related cancer.

Mesothelioma is a rare and aggressive form of cancer caused by exposure to asbestos, with around 2,700 people diagnosed in the UK every year.

The £25,000 donation will help Mesothelioma UK to:

  • Provide specialist nursing support to patients and families
  • Offer guidance, counselling and information services
  • Fund research and campaigns for better treatment and care
  • Raise awareness of the dangers of asbestos exposure

Liz Darlison, Chief Executive of Mesothelioma UK, said: “We are incredibly grateful for this generous donation and honoured to have been chosen as RGA’s Charity Partner for the coming year. We’d like to thank the company for their support and in particular, RGA employee Danny Scutt, who nominated us after his Dad sadly passed away from mesothelioma when Danny was just 17.

“Their support will have a significant impact on the lives of people affected by mesothelioma, and we are excited to work together on an inspiring and meaningful calendar of activity in 2026.”

Emma Ferris, Senior Vice President, Managing Director, RGA UK, added: “RGA has a strong tradition of charitable giving and actively encourages its local offices to support causes that matter to their employees and communities. We are pleased that our UK office has selected Mesothelioma UK as their charity of the year for 2026, providing vital resources to the charity’s nursing teams who care for patients and families. It is our hope that this partnership can help bring awareness to this condition and the persistent dangers of asbestos.”
