PIF TICK certification for our patient information

We know how overwhelming a diagnosis of mesothelioma can be, and how good written information can play a vital part in helping people make informed choices.

This is why we’re so pleased to have been recertified under the PIF TICK scheme, demonstrating our commitment to the provision of high-quality health information. Having the PIF TICK means that the information we produce follows set processes to ensure it is easy to understand and evidence-based. This means getting input from clinical experts, seeking patient and public feedback, as well as detailing the research publications we use.

Joelle Kirby, Mesothelioma UK’s Senior Editorial Officer said: “We’ve always been passionate about creating information that helps people affected by mesothelioma. But having the PIF TICK has undoubtedly improved our resources. The yearly assessment ensures we regularly appraise and improve our information process. For example, we now utilise social media to a much greater extent – ensuring our information reaches more people who could benefit from it.”
