Football match in memory of Uncle Kurt

George sadly lost his surrogate uncle Kurt who was only 48 years old to mesothelioma, and therefore the 14 year old decided to organise a Charity Football Match along with his younger brother Max, his family and friends.

The match took place at the Stratford Home Guard Club in Tiddington, where they played two matches – Welford Puma U15 Vs Ilmington U16’s and Stratford Home Guard Vs The Veterans. A great day was had by all, with great sportsmanship and the crowd being entertained with live music from “The Orca’s”. Fun and games were provided by Fitness Active and Rozie T Dance Academy put on an amazing show.

With a raffle boasting a prize of Wembley Stadium Tour Tickets, and wonderful food and drink served throughout the day the event was a huge success and the family achieved their goal of raising awareness and funds for Mesothelioma UK. Kurt’s wife Sue, daughters Sophie, Chole and Kurt’s Mum were all there to help on the day too which raised a wonderful £780.00.
