Mesothelioma UK proudly attended the Contamination & Land Remediation Expo 2024, held on 11-12 September at the NEC in Birmingham, as part of a wider collaboration with UKATA (UK Asbestos Training Association).
This prestigious event, part of the Environmental Services & Solutions Expo (ESS), brought together top players in the environmental services sector to showcase the latest innovative solutions, designs, technologies and services.
Mesothelioma UK joined UKATA to raise awareness about the dangers of asbestos and the urgent need for improved asbestos safety training.
The charity was represented by Jill Lemon and Liz Darlison, hosting a raffle that raised approximately £400, which will go directly toward helping those impacted by the disease.
Victoria Castelluccio, UKATA’s Events & Marketing Manager, said: “Our dedicated team had a wonderful time connecting with industry leaders, supporting Mesothelioma UK and showcasing UKATA’s training portfolio.”
Liz Darlison, CEO at Mesothelioma UK, added: “Jill and I were deeply honoured to represent Mesothelioma UK at the 2024 Contamination & Land Remediation Expo, joining forces with the fantastic team at UKATA. It was an incredible opportunity to raise awareness about the charity and its vital mission. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at UKATA for hosting us, and to all who showed such wonderful support in helping us raise funds!”
