Armed Forces Memorial

Armed Forces Memorial

Help us to create a memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum.

We are pleased to share the ‘Mesothelioma UK – Supporting our Armed Forces’ project has launched a fundraising drive to build a memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum in 2021.

You can support the creation of this new memorial to honour a loved one, or to pay your respects to all those who have served in the Armed Forces and have lost their battle against mesothelioma.

The memorial concept depicts building blocks of life, engraved with information about mesothelioma, asbestos and our Armed Forces.

Mesothelioma UK provides a dedicated and specialist, UK-wide service for Armed Forces personnel and Veterans. We want the families and friends of those affected to be able to visit the memorial and pay their respects or celebrate a key milestone.

We’re looking for your support to create and build the memorial, and one day bring together family, friends and donors to remember our heroes.

Take a look at our Tribute Wall to see our appreciation for our donors so far…

The cost to sponsor a block and have your loved one’s name listed on the dedicated webpage for the memorial is £500. However, we are accepting general donations of any amount towards the creation of the memorial.

Gift Aid

I want all donations I've made to you in the past four years and all donations in future to be treated as Gift Aid donations until I notify you otherwise.
I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference.
We will claim 25p on every £1 you donate.

It is an honour and privilege to be an Ambassador for Mesothelioma UK, especially as my late wife and I gave most of our working lives to Crown and Country before she died of mesothelioma in 2012. This memorial will provide an opportunity for families and loved ones to pay tribute to their fallen and I commend the project to you all.

I am urging all those who have lost a loved one to this terrible disease to contribute to this unique memorial – as a tribute to their loved ones and to those who have cared for them during their illness.
