Running the Stafford Half Marathon in the town where he lived for so long and in the region where I grew up will be a fitting tribute". Scott has put together a minimal training plan to help him get to his optimum level of fitness in readiness for the half marathon in March, this schedule is something he will do everyday but at times will be more intensive and he will kindly send us updates and photo's on  how he is progressing. Click here to have a peek. Scott's update:Having been really busy at University with my ongoing projects recently I am now trying to raise my profile with a few people I know and who have promised to donate soon. In order to raise more money I am looking at taking part in the 'Potters Arf', half marathon in June, it is a really tough course but with an amazing atmosphere from the local people. Jennifer Jackson

Jennifer's story... After some gentle(!) persuasion I have signed up to run the Edinburgh Half Marathon on 27th May. Iv'e decided to raise money for Mesothelioma UK as they were a juge support to my parents right from my Dad's diagnosis in November 2009 up to his passing in October Last year.
Mesothelioma is a particularly aggressive type of cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. Dad contracted the disease when he was working in Manchester and was diagnosed during a medical for his new job in Afghanistan. Mesothelioma UK are dedicated to offering support and advice to for those affected by the disease and are a completley charitable organisation- all of their funding comes from donations. An extra bonus is that the very kind people at Deutsche Bank will match up to £1000, so donating a fiver will mean Mesothelioma UK recieve £10..00. I will be aiming to make it round in sub-2 hours, and putting that in writing will hopefully push me a little harder to make it!! To support Jennifer click here and pledge your donation
