'Dave the very Brave' threw him self out of a plane attached to a Red Devil last year not only to raise money for the charity but also to raise it's profile to support Mesothelioma UK. This was such a fantastic personal achievement having already been diagnosed with mesothelioma in 2007 that he has been featured in our news letters, at our patient carer day and many other events and you can read his story on the web site which has inspired so many people to take on these wonderful challenges. Unfortunately Dave's disease has returned and he is now undergoing radiotherapy to try and slow things down which has led Laura and her friend Sue to do something positive. She certainly is a 'Chip of the Old Block' and the girls were hoping to raise as much money as they can to support the work that Mesothelioma UK do and they have raised £1,340 and for those that gift aided their donations it raised the total to £1,601.25. This time, it was suggested that Mesothelioma UK should be the benefit of our fudnraising efforts, which is particularly appropriate in our lime of work as it is caused by exposure to asbestos.
