RADIO MESO - Receiving a diagnosis of mesothelioma: Improving the patient experience

What is Radio Meso?

Mesothelioma UK is funding a study (RADIO MESO) that is looking at the patient experience of receiving their mesothelioma diagnosis. The study is being carried out by researchers at University of Sheffield. The aim is to identify ways to improve the experience for patients and their families.

Are you attending the Mesothelioma UK Patient and Carer day (13 October 2017)?

Would you like to add your views to the Radio Meso study?

If you are interested in sharing your views and experiences regarding communicating a diagnosis of mesothelioma, we are holding a group discussion with patients and family carers at the Patient and Carer Day on 13 October.

This group session follows on from interviews withpatients, their families and health professionals. We now want to hold some group discussions to build on the interviews.

The aim of the discussions is to identify the best way to tell people about a mesothelioma diagnosis.

The group discussion will last about 45 minutes and take place before lunch. We have about 25 places for people to take part.

Are you interested in taking part in the group discussion?

If you or someone in your family has a diagnosis of mesothelioma and you are attending the patient and carer day, we would love you to join the group discussion.

If you are interested, please get in touch with Angela or Beth using the details below. They will then contact you and give you more information about the session.

We look forward to hearing from you.
