Asbestos Support Groups

group-2 (1)

There are a number of Asbestos Support Groups (ASG) across the UK providing services for people with asbestos related diseases. Mesothelioma is just one of those diseases. Mesothelioma UK provides a list of groups that are affiliated with the Asbestos Victims Support Groups Forum UK, which was set up in 2005. The forum is open to all asbestos victims' support groups who work on behalf of asbestos victims. All groups should be independent, not-for-profit organisations or registered charities. They must abide by the Forum constitution and principles which set out minimum standards for groups.

Groups are registered in one of three categories defined by the services they provide to asbestos victims. All groups actively support Forum campaigns. Below is a list of support groups and more details can be found on the forum website.

Group members provide a variety of services. Some group members provide a specialist, dedicated and comprehensive advice service. Other group members are dedicated to funding mesothelioma research. While all group members actively campaign on a wide range of issues, some group members campaign on specific issues as well, providing invaluable information and research.
