Benefits

If you have been given a diagnosis of mesothelioma there are certain benefits which you may be able to claim along with government lump sum compensation.  You should not be put off if you have not claimed benefits before.  You have a legal entitlement to some of these benefits and some of them are not affected by your level of household income or savings.

For help in identifying exactly which benefits you are able to claim, help to fill in the necessary forms or to discuss any problems you have with your benefits you can contact the Mesothelioma UK National Welfare Benefits Adviser, Caroline Barry on our freephone helpline 0800 169 2409 or email at mesothelioma.uk@uhl-tr.nhs.uk
