Dave Wastall
Dave is a keen cyclist and will be donning his cycle helmet along with his sleek cycle suit to take part in a 60 mile circular trip around the Kent countryside called 'The Great Kent Ride' starting in Ashford, on the 10th June 2012. This date is very poignant to Dave and his family and the 'Great Kent Ride' just sprang out at him and he knew he must take part in memory of his lovley Father, Norman Wastall who died of mesothelioma on June 10th 2010 which was brought on from working in HM Dockyard in Chatham Kent. Norman had just celebrated his 71st birthday and sadly left behind his wife Sheila, Dave and his wife Kirsty and Norman's only Grandson, Lewis. To see his Father in this condition has had
a great effect on Dave and so he would like to do what he can for causes that would have been close to his Fathers heart and over the months he has taken part in various rides in support of the British Heart Foundation, The Christie Hospital in Manchester and he will be raising funds not only for the Charitable Trust but for Allergy UK in the Great Kent Ride, so if you would like to support Dave then please send your donations to the address below or visit his Just Giving page by clicking here.... Thank you.
Matt Tozer
Matt's Mont Ventoux Challenge... Matt will be cycling 300k over 5 mountains... Why... To raise awareness about mesothelioma and the dangers of asbestos exposure and to raise funds for the Charitable Trust so there will be more support in the future for those suffering from this terrible disease... Matt is aiming to cycle 300k from Grenoble to Avignon, over five mountains including the notorious Mont Venoux and is hoping to do it in three days at the beginning of June 2012. He was inspired to do this daring challenge in loving memory of his wonderful Dad who sadly passed away in February 2012, having just been diagnosed with mesothelioma. You can support Matt's daring challenge by texting UQDU65 £10 to 70070 or click here for his Just Giving page.
