Fundraising Donations

Mr Kevin Jones from Liverpool ran the 'Paris Marathon' 26.3 miles on 11th April 2010 and raised £442.00.
Mrs Linda Thornton who helped organise the Leicester Action Mesothelioma Day at the Leicester Cathedral, donated all refreshment money which was to be shared equally with the Cathedral, Donation to Mesothelioma UK Charitable Trust £30.58.
We would like to thank Linda and the Leicester Cathedral for their continued support.

Mr Graham & Mrs Janet Dean raised a £1000.00 for Mesothelioma UKCT at their 'Action Mesothelioma Day'  which involved a gathering of a few friends which turned into 85 people where they had a game of football at a local venue followed by the screening of the 'World Cup'  quarter final along with a bar-be-que.  The total raised on the evening far exceeded their expectations and they were able to donate a further £1,550.00 To Cancer Research. Well done to all who took part and supported this wonderful day.

Miss Jennifer and Cathy Shutt raised £3,275.00 for their 'Trek to Kilimanjaro' on 3rd July 2010.

Mr Morgan Locke and friends raised £600.00 for their 'Fancy Dress Pub Crawl'on 10th July 2010.

Mr Dave Phillips has raised £840.00 to date from a 'Skydive' he did on 6th July 2010

Mrs Amanda Doyle Brooks with Melanie and Amy ran 'The Race of Life' on 19th June 2010, in memory of her wonderful father Mr Joe Doyle, between them todate they have raised £1,394.00

Matt Philips took part in a 'Ride Across Britain' from John O'Groats to Landsend on 12th June 2010, to date Matt has raised £2,420.00

Mr Philip O'Dwyer donated £100.00 won in the 'Mini World Cup Competition' in association with Poole Dick Associates.

Marie Gilmartin and Sharon Thompson held a Tombola stall and Raffle at the 'Village Feast Day' on 12th June 2010 and raised £955.49

Elizabeth Weeks took part in the London Marathon Back in April of this year in memory of a dear family friend Mr Tony Poplett. Elizabeth raised a total of £1,040.00. Mesothelioma UK Charitable Trust would like to apologise to Elizabeth and her family for the delay in this acknowledgement.

Friends and colleagues from Kettering Borough Council held a 'Green Mufti Day' a 'Cake Sale' and 'Raffle' in memory of their dear friend and colleague Tracey Carpenter and raised £844.77

Lauren Ball who runs the '2b Productions Dance School' held a fundraising evening of 'Caberet and Musical Theatre'at the Kirby Muxloe Village Hall in Leicestershire to raise money for the Mesothelioma UK Resource Centre who supports her Gran Mrs Glenda Stretton. £1'053.74

'Lathom Golf Society' a works based golf society at the NSG Group's European Technical Centre at Ormskirk in Lancashire raised money for their former captain Mr Dave Quayle who died in July 2009 for his chosen charity in memory of his father Mr John Quayle who died of Mesothelioma in 2005. The society has approximatley 40 members and they raised the money throughout April to October 2009 by holding different golfing events. £1000.00
