Press Release - February 2010 - MOUSTACHES FOR MESO IN MARCH!
During the Month of March we challenge you to grow your moustache in raising awareness of mesothelioma.

This year the charity needs to raise a further £50,000 to help fund the Mesothelioma UK resource centre. Supporting us by growing your moustache is an easy and fun way to raise money, every donation helps.

The Charitable Trust exists to raise funds and provide financial support to the National Macmillan Mesothelioma Resource Centre (known as Mesothelioma UK) and to other initiatives to promote and protect the health of sufferers of mesothelioma. Mesothelioma UK provides impartial up-to-date information for patients diagnosed with Mesothelioma and their carers. The Centre supports the development of specialist nursing practice and research which promotes the highest possible standards of care. A Consultant Nurse is the lead for Mesothelioma UK. There is a free phone helpline available which provides access to timely, accurate and relevant advice for patients, carers and health care professionals. Callers are able to access local information and support and be signposted to relevant websites.
Gift Aid Your Donation
If you would like to Gift Aid your donation please complete a Gift Aid declaration including your full name, address and postcode. Please note you must have paid an amount of income tax in the tax year of the donation. Mesothelioma UK Charitable Trust will be able to reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 given after 6 April 2008. Between 6 April 2008 and 5 April 2011 an additional 3p on very £1 can be reclaimed.

Action Mesothelioma Day 2010
Friday 2 July 2010
After a broad consultation exercise Action Mesothelioma Day will take place on the first Friday of each July (starting in July 2010).

The Len Broadway Mesothelioma Research Fund has funded Mesothelioma charity pins that are being sold to benefit the asbestos support groups and Mesothelioma UK Charitable Trust. You can purchase pins by contacting Jill Lemon on the Helpline for an order form.
